I got through GCE(A/L) in Mathematics Stream and med Technical College Kalutara to follow Quantity Surveying course. It was my very first experience on vocational education and which directed me towards new target in life. At the outset I had to clear picture of what the Quantity Surveying is No sooner realize that the opportunities in the particular field was narrow. I enrolled and successfully completed the National Diploma in Quantity Surveying Level 05 after got through the certificate level course
Now am working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor and could contribute to the projects carried out by the Urban Development Authority, especially the constructions of Multi Model Center in Matsumura and Bio-Diversity Park in Rampart Project.I am happy to say that busy work schedules were never a hindrance for me to achieve higher goals on my journey. Now I’m a first year student in University of Vocational Technology. DTET not only enlightened me on the potential options but also spotted the unidentified own skills and which made me confident to take risks. I believe that the best decision ever made as a student was studying those courses at DTET.
